Examination of Luke Golding of Elstow - charged with stealing a handkerchief from James Broach

There was another boy standing by the side of Mr Broach and he was standing 3 or 4 yards away. He was looking at the horses when Mr Broach came up to him and asked if he had his handkerchief. He said he had not and was prepared to be searched. Another boy came round and threw the handkerchief down at his feet. He never had it in his hand. He had never seen the boy before.
