- Scope and ContentAbout 3.30pm on April 9 he was watching a race at the Race Course when the prisoner came behind him and took the handkerchief out of his pocket. He felt it being taken out, turned around and saw Golding standing behind him with his handkerchief in his hand. Golding denied taking it. He saw Golding put it under his smock frock. Mr Hills seized Golding and as he searched him he saw the handkerhief drop from under his frock to the ground.
