Scope and Content
Born in Dalham, County of Suffolk where his parents lived and belonged. He is about 28 years of age. About 9 years ago he let himself to John Garrard of Bedford, coachman, to look after his farming business for 12 months at wages of six guineas which time he served and took his whole wages. Has done no other act to gain a settlement. Yesterday [26 November 1826] married at St Peter, Bedford to Ann Janes.
