- Scope and ContentBorn in Sandy, where his father resided and belonged. When he was about 16 years old he was placed out apprentice by the Sandy Charity to William Fletcher of St John, Bedford by Indenture for five years. He served the whole of his apprenticeship and has not done any act to gain a settlement in his own right. On 20 November 1826 married at St John to Mary Ann Crackrode.
