Scope and Content
Born in Bedford. At the age of 14 he was placed out apprentice by the Trustees of the Harpur Charity to William Batchelor of St Mary, Bedford, tailor by Indenture dated 10 May 1816. After serving a year with him he was turned over to John Langley of St Paul, Bedford, tailor with whom he served the remainder of his apprenticeship. Has not done any other act to gain a settlement. Married last Tuesday at St Paul, Bedford to Charlotte Ricketts.
