- Scope and ContentHenry Potton: a bricklayer. He hung a waistcoat belonging to his brother in the garden. Next day he noticed it gone. The garden has a 6 foot wall around it. On 12 March he saw George Champkin wearing his brother’s waistcoat. Thomas Potton: he lost a waistcoat, and following information went to a public house in Dunstable where the accused was drinking. He was wearing the waistcoat. He identified the waistcoat as his, although the buttons had been cut off and other sown on. He took Champkin to the tailor who made it, who also confirmed it to be Potton's. He gave Champkin into custody. Cornelius Sharpe: took the accused into custody.
