    At Bletsoe Statute 1796 he let himself to Thomas Swannell of Milton Ernest, farmer by the year at wages if ten guineas as servant in husbandry. He went into such service Old Michaelmas Day 1796 and continued til Old Michaelmas Day 1797 and received the whole of his wages. Married at Bletsoe Church in May 1798 to his wife Sarah by whom he has a daughter named mary who was born in Riseley in 1802. He removed with his family soon after her birth and has resided in Bedford ever since. Mary has not dine any act to gain a settlement in her own right. He has received relief at different times from the Overseers of Milton Ernest from 1809 to 1815.
