Scope and Content
About 25 years of age. When he was about fourteen his father placed him out apprentice to Benjamin Johnson of St Mary, Bedford, carpenter by Indenture for seven years. He served the whole of his apprenticeship with Mr Johnson and has not done any other act to gain a settlement. On eleventh day of October 1825 he was married at St Paul, Bedford, to Mary Bowers.
