- Scope and ContentHenry Savage of Cranfield, grocer and draper - on Monday 18 November he shut hp his shop at 11pm and did not go to bed until 12. At 7am next morning he found the window shutter had been opened, panes of glass broken and the shop entered. He missed drapery goods including some pieces of fustian and some twilled drab stuff for smock frocks. From information given to him he searched Minards' lodging with Mr Langston the constable and found 2 pieces of fustian and 1 piece of the stuff for smock frocks. One of the pieces of fustian has his private mark on. Minards' wife said she purchased the things from a packman 12 months ago. John Langston, constable of Cranfield - he searched the house of John Minards yesterday. Joseph Minards lodges there and has a bedroom upstairs. He found some stuff for smock frocks and two pieces of fustian now produced. The prisoner's wife said she bought them from a packman some time ago. Joseph Minards - knows nothing at all about them.
