Deposition of John Fenn of Sundon, victualler - James Brown, charged with stealing 2 sheep from Mary Fensom

On 30 October about 7am his wife asked if James Brown might put 2 sheep in his close and he agreed. He later saw the sheep in the close He saw Brown in the evening at his house when the constable was with him. Shortly after he saw the sheep he saw Mr Tomson and Jackson the constable by his garden hedge - Mr Tomson asked whose sheep they were and he said Brown brought them.
