    James Millard: runs a farm along with his mother Ann Millard. John Hailey had been employed as tasker for many years. The piece of wood shown to him by the constable fitted a tree from which it had been taken. He is unable to swear to the wheat and knives being his. Charles Flint: had reason to search the house of the accused, and he came across the wood, which Millard vouches to be his. James Bates: found the wheat at the house of John Hailey. He stated he had received it from hi son. His son's wife had no knowledge of this when asked.
