Depositions of Francis Horne, labourer of Tilsworth, and Henry Randall, constable of Tilsworth, in the case of Simon Daniels, tramp of Ireland, accused of stealing a certain hoe

Francis Horne: he left his hoe in his barn overnight. When asked to check by the constable if it was still there, he found it missing. Henry Randall: came across the prisoner with the hoe in his possession. He knew it not to be his. Statement of the accused - Simon Daniels: did not deny taking the hoe. He'd had nothing to eat since the previous day.
