    Francis Horne: he left his hoe in his barn overnight. When asked to check by the constable if it was still there, he found it missing. Henry Randall: came across the prisoner with the hoe in his possession. He knew it not to be his. Statement of the accused - Simon Daniels: did not deny taking the hoe. He'd had nothing to eat since the previous day.
