At the age of 14 he was placed out apprentice by his father George Browne, then living at Northampton, to James Webb of Bedford, printer & stationer for seven years, which apprenticeship he faithfully served. Then went to live in london for three months then to Dover where he has continued since as a journeyman to Messrs Batchelor and Rigden, printers. Married this morning at St Mary, Bedford to Caroline Miller.
