    Born in St Paul, Bedford anout 22 years ago. Placed out apprentice by the Harpur Charity 2 April 1816 by Indenture for seven years to Samuel Jones of St Giles, Northampton, shoemaker. On 27 May 1818 was signed over by Indenture to Joseph Denyer of Bedford for the remainder of the apprenticeship. On 24 may 1820 was signed over by Joseph Denyer to Samuel Jones for the remainder of he term and returned to his house in Sr Giles. Continued there 14 months when Master & he not agreeing he discharged him and Examinant came to Bedford where he has worked for several master shoemakers in the town by the piece.
