Scope and Content
About 35 years of age. Born in St Paul, Bedford where her father Samuel Goodman then resided. Had heard her fatehr declare that he ahd a settlement by service in Hardmead, County of Bucks about 40 years ago but does not reciollect the name of his master. About eight years ago he went to Hardmead for work but the parish officers refused him as they said they did not recollect him. Believes her father married her mother at St Paul, Bedford about two years after he left Hardmead. Doesn't believe he gained a settlement since. Her mother Sarah Goodman died about 25 years ago. Her father soon after married again and his second wife died about a year afterwards. Her father died about two years ago leaving no child living but this Examinant.
