Scope and Content
About 24 years of age. Born in St Cuthbert, bedford, where his father John Pack resided but belonged to St Paul, Bedford. When he was about 14 he was placed apprentice by the Harpur Charity to John Tassell of Woollaston, County of Northampton, tailor, for seven years. He served about a year and a half when his Master becoming insolvent he was assigned over to James Simkin of Barton in the Clay, tailor and served the remainder of his apprenticeship at Barton. Married at St Mary, Bedford 18 April 1823 to Sophia Franklin.
