- Scope and ContentUpwards of 60 years of age. Born in Tempsford where is father resided and belonged. About 30 years ago let himself to Joseph Althorpe, Tempsford, farmer in March as shepherd til the Michaelmas following. At Lady Day immediately following his Master quitted his farm at Tempsford and went to live on one at Tetworth, County of Huntingdon, he went with him and continued another year and received the whole of his wages which in the second year were six or seven pounds. He has several times been relieved by the overseers of the poor of the parish of Tetworth and yesterday received seven shillings from the overseer of that parish. About 20 years ago he married his late wife Sarah at St Peter, Bedford who died about 12 years since by whom he has two children Hannah aged 19 and John aged 13.
