Folio.189-190 Sarah Norman residing at St Cuthbert, Bedford, wife of John Norman, a Serjeant in the 40th Regiment of Foot now stationed in Ireland.

When she was 17 she was married at St Paul, Bedford on 1 Jan 1808 to John Norman, by whom she has one son, Jesse aged two. Her husband at the time of her marriage was a Private in the Bedfordshire Militia and continued in that regiment about six years. Then volunteered into the 40th Regiment of Foot where he remains. Her husband informed her that he obtained his settlement by service by Mr Clayton of Goldington, two years as a yearly servant, and she has received relief from the Overseers of Goldington at different times.
