- Scope and ContentAdmits the charge and is sorry she did it. She took a black silk piece (12 yards), a green silk gown, a coloured print gown, 2 silk shawls, half a dozen silver tea spoons and 4 silver salt spoons, and a boha tippit. She took them from Mrs Larney's bedroom about 4 days before Christmas and came to Stamford. She took everything to Mr Alton's except the salmon coloured shawl which she sold to Mrs Walker's daughter Ellen for 20s. She sold the 10 spoons to Mr Alton for 11s, the silk gown for 6s and the piece of silk for 14s to Mrs Alton and exchanged the drab shawl for a light one. She said the spoons were her mother's. The print gown was pawned for 4s - the duplicate is with Mrs Scholes of the Chequers, to whom she owes 2s 3d, and who has a bonnet and a pair of clogs in her possession.
