    details of death of Knightley Orlebar (son of Cuthbert Orlebar) at Torquay . . . ‘most kind and good to his family; the mainstay of his mothers and his sisters, ‘mentions illnesses of other members of the family’, comments ‘the Orlebars were never strong but the Cuthbert branch seems to be particularly unhealthy.’ death of widow’s brother in law, Reverend Pigott (brother of a Member of Parliament). He was buried at Barnet. Rouse and Beauchamp would prefer Surbiton as they have friends there. NB Frederica’s pencil comment ‘Never one word of enquiry about our comfort in this terrible lodging. Burke’s Landed Gentry records that Knightley Orlebar died on 23 January 1882.
