- Scope and ContentAbout 26 years of age. Born in Goldington. At Michaelmas 1806 he let himself to Mr William Sylvester Addington the elder of St Paul, Bedford, gentleman for a year as general servant at the wages of three pounds. Continued in Addingtons service until June 1809 without quitting and received his full wages. Then enlisted into the Bedfordshire Militia and has continued in the army ever since. Married at Glasgow 23 June 1817 to Melene Rangeval by whom he has two children William aged 2 and Mary aged four months.
