Scope and Content
About 24 years of age. Born at St John, Bedford where his father resided. At the age of 14 was placed out apprentice by the Harpurs Charity by Indenture dated 27 Dec 1808 to Joseph Disher of St Mary, Bedford, tailor for seven years. Served the whole of his time, the first five years living with his master at St Mary and the last two he boarded and worked with his master but slept at his fathers in St John. Married last Thursday at St John to Sarah Richardson.
