- Scope and ContentThirty four years of age. Born at Ampthill where his father then resided. When he was about 16 he was placed out apprentice by his Uncle George Inskip of Ickwell, farmer, to William Whiteman of [Old]Warden, carpenter by Indenture for five years. He served half his apprenticeship in Warden then his Master removed to Ickwell in the parish of Northill where he served the remainder of his time. When he was about 25 he enlisted in the 16th Regiment of Foot where he served about 7 years. He was married 12 years ago at St Neots, Huntingdon to Mary Trevis by whom he has an infant son only born the 24 October last.
