    About 44 years of age. Born at Lidlington where his father Patrick Harrison, labourer lived and belonged. At Michaelmas 1789 when he was about 14 he let himself for a year as servant in husbandry to John Peddar of Millbrook, farmer at the wage of three guineas. Continued in his service for two years. About hay time 1792 let himself to John Lawton, Head Groom to the Duke of Bedford as a stable boy to His Grace by the week, as the other stable lads were hired at 13 shillings a week out of which he paid Mr Lawton 7s a week for his board and his clothing to wear in service but not to carry away. He stayed in his service about a year and a half receiving his wages sometimes by the quarter, sometimes less. About 25 Sep 1797 he let himself to Nathaniel Denton, head ostler to Mr John Cooke at the Swan, Bedford as under ostler. He received 4s a week from Nathaniel Denton and one shilling a week from each of the three post boys. In May 1799 he was married at St Pauls, Bedford to Mary Howard by whom he has one child now being of the age of 20 and married.
