- Scope and ContentAbout 35 years of age. Born at Toddington. At Michaelmas 1798 he let himself to John Butcher of Toddington, farmer to milk cows. Continued in that service two years. At Lidlington Statute 1800 let himself to John Pateman of Wootton, farmer as cowman for a year at the wages of 50 shillings. Went to Mr Pateman’s service the day after Michaelmas 1800 and quitted the same day after Michaelmas 1801 and received his full wages. Married in 1804 at Toddington to his late wife Martha by whom he has one child living named Eleanor. Has again married his now wife Ann Stanton at St Paul, Bedford in February 1810 by whom he has three children Sarah aged 5, John aged 3 and Caroline aged 13 weeks.
