- Scope and ContentAbout 38 years of age. Born at Clapham. Married at Clapham about 16 years ago to George Bazely, labourer. A month after marriage moved to London for four or five years then George Bazely died. Lived in London in lodgings. Husband had repeatedly told her that his settlement was at Oakley and that he was born there and lived there all his life except at different times when he went to work at the Red Lion in Hatfield but she believes that he was never there 12 months at any one time. She has two children – John aged 14 years who let himself out at Michaelmas by the year to Mr Budd Solicitor of Bedford, and Barbara age 12 years who has lived with her all her life.
