Scope and Content
These plans, together with those listed as Z331/2/1-88, have been selected from over Nine rolls of plans originally deposited. Some selection and destruction was necessary, and only plans giving information on firms for which cranes were made, dated plans, and plans giving basic outlines of the types of crane manufactured by the firm have been retained. On the advice of the technical expert at Leicester Museum, all detailed drawings have been discarded. The plans which have been kept have been re-sorted into their original numerical series, those without a prefix being catalogued as Z331/2/1-88, and those prefixed “E” (Estimate prints) being catalogued as Z331/3/1-107
