- Scope and ContentJoseph Joyce: William Beach approached him asking if he had lost any property. He went with Beach to Birchfield farm house and found 2 cupboard doors and one shutter to be missing. They went to the house of Joseph Hall, his horsekeeper, and found the property. Joyce rents the farm from Frederick Charles Polhill. William Beach, police constable: from information received he asked Joyce if he were missing property. He went with Joyce to Birchfield farm house where they discovered 2 cupboard doors and a shutter to be missing. They found the property at the home of Hall. Hall told Beach he was guilty and very sorry.
