- Scope and ContentJohn Millard: on the 17 November 1848 he saw the accused with a bundle of straw on his back down the Meeting Alley in Luton. He said he had got it from his master Mr Tomson, to light his fire with. On examining the bundle he found wood inside. Sharpe claimed to have picked that up from the park. Christopher Tomson: denies giving Sharpe leave to that the straw. He confirmed the bundle of straw to be his property.
