    George Crouch - he went to Mr Claydon's farm yard in Fosters Hill Lane with some barley meal. He saw the prisoners about 100 yards from the gate going towards Fosters Hill. There were 3 ducks in the yard. When he left he locked the gates and saw the prisoners coming back again toward Bedford. They had a dog with them. Isaac Fasey was with him. Isaac Fasey - as above. After they left Mr Claydon's yard they separated. He went to Tavistock St at the farther end of the New Town. In about half an hour he returned and met the prisoners about 20 yards from the end of Forsters Lane.
