- Scope and ContentJohn Weller Line: was in the Bushel & Strike, Potton on getting up to leave he placed a sovereign on the table to pay John Yourby picked up the sovereign saying he'll get the change but left by the back door. Line continued drinking and forgot about the sovereign. He asked Yourby about it the following morning at the Red Lion public house. He refused to return it. John Shaw, police constable: having threatened to search Yourby. Yourby threw the sovereign on the table. On the way to Biggleswade he offered Shaw money to not proceed.
