- Scope and ContentSamuel Measures - a warrant had been granted in May for the arrest of Parsons who had failed to appear before magistrates. He absented himself from home for some months so he could not find him. When arrested the previous night he was put into the charge of Joseph Parsons and William Tyler of Tilbrook to secure him overnight at the Public House. York made a fist at Parsons and threatened to "floor" him and had violently resisted arrest. Joseph Parsons - took York by the collar but he resisted. After Mr Measures left them at the Public House, without provocation York abused him and struck him on his face, head and side. Samuel York - nothing to say, except that he (Measures) did not read his warrant.
