- Scope and ContentHe remembered hearing of a rick being burnt at Tempsford on a Sunday, and the same evening James Makins told him he did it. He said he lit his pipe at Tempsford and set it on fire and then ran away, then came up the road with a waggon from Tempsford way. There were a lot of boys round him talking about the fire and he told them not to say anything about it or they would say that he had done it. After that he told the deponent and Williamson that he had done it.
