    William Cherry: Skipper and Mann came into Thomas Waldock's shop in Saint Lloyd [sic] in the parish of Saint Paul and stole two shoulders of mutton that were hanging up in the shop. He called Mr Davis and ran after them. Mr Davis beckoned to Lamb, who took the mutton from the prisoners. Samuel Lamb, constable of Bedford: Saw the prisoners go into Thomas Waldock's shop. He did not see them come out again but about 5 minutes later he saw them coming towards him with Davis, who gave the two men into his charge as they had stolen the two shoulders of mutton. He took the two shoulders - Skipper and Mann said "that's what we wanted - we want to get transported".
