- Date free text18 October 1838
- Production dateFrom: 1838 To: 1839
- Scope and ContentWas employed by Hetty Simkins to dig some potatoes for her that were growing in Garden Field near Stopsley. Had dug them about a fortnight earlier and put them in her barn - all sorts mixed together, some were scotch potatoes, almost black, some were large white ones and some large red ones. Might be 8 or 9 bushels. There were pink eyed kidnies - can't say positively that there were none of the sort now produced.
