hoped to have reserved most part of rents for English tradesmen but grateful for £100 glad Antoine no longer his steward here, would like William Augustus Orlebar to go with Alexander to examination. Captain Smith (Colonel Gilpin’s son-in-law) will accompany him. Berners, a Suffolk Gentleman will write to his son, a Lieutenant at Woolwich. John writes from Halifax, saying will be in England in a few weeks, asks him to honour £20 at Praeds.
