    Transcript of a letter from James Lightboun to William Cawne I have yrs of the 10th and if the Accts I have had of my tenants Circumstances and Stock upon his farm be true I am surprised he should be able to secure so Good security as you seem to think you have got. I should be glad you would send me the Inventory you tooke of his goods by wch it may be seen out of what he is to raise the money by the 1st of March and may be so kind to inform me what Character he has amongst you for if he is not able to go on wth the farm I had much better get him of than continue and if you wld be so kind to send to the Collector of yr Land Tax to know how far that is discharged and to send me me [sic] wth an answer to my last stateing to his Quanty of Corn Sowed you will much oblige
