Letter from Mary Orlebar, Ecton Cottage (Northamptonshire) to dear nephew William [William Augustus Orlebar] taking opportunity to send packet to London via neighbour Mr Isted. ‘taking a day of favourable Light for my now dim Eyes!

Regards to Mrs G. Whingfield who has now apartments near. will enclose letter to “truly generous Mr Bagwill”. rejoices Orlando, a Lieutenant at last, niece Fanny to go to Hinckley for Mr Chessheers inspection (?doctor), niece Charlotte and writer will pay £5 of the cost of the journey. trusty servant Esther to attend Fanny; Anne to come to writer in her absence; proposed summer visit to Hinwick and Crawley House; good wishes to Bloomsbury Square. Told Carey transferred to Regulars from Militia, does Mrs Carey and little boy resite at Quakers Hall.
