- Scope and Contenti) Honourable Frederick Ongley, Old Warden ii) Charles Desborough Holworthy, Plymouth, Devon, esquire recites SL 1/56 whereas: upon the application of i), ii) had agreed to lend him £1430 upon having repayment with interest at 4½% secured as follows i) demise to ii) - Park Wood (109 acres 2 roods) - farmhouse etc. (73 acres 2 roods 14 perches) formerly part of said wood in parish of Old Warden late in occupation of Charles Fyshe Palmer, deceased, and now in occupation of Jesse Masters - 2 cottages etc. in occupations of – Wheatley and – Yorke - cottages, land etc. belonging signed i) endorsed receipt witnesses: George Henley Ongley M. Reynolds 18 Mar 1844 with: receipt (loose) to administrators of i) for £64. 7s for one year’s interest, 6 Oct 1846 also endorsed with: Conveyance i) Charles Desborough Holworthy ii) Robert Henley Ongley, Lord Ongley whereas: Frederick Henley Ongley died on 26 August 1846 intestate and unmarried leaving ii) his eldest brother him surviving : letters of administration on 6 Oct 1846 granted to ii) by PCC : £1430 is now due and owing, all interest having been paid : ii) is desirous of paying sum to i) and that hereditaments should be reconveyed to him now, in consideration of £1430, i) conveys to ii) - property in within written indenture signed i) receipt witness E.J.Harrison
