    i) Reverend Samuel Man Godschall, Weston House, Surrey, clerk, only brother and heir at law of John Man Godschal late of Weston House, esquire, deceased, who was eldest son and heir at law of Sarah Godschall, late wife of William Man Godschal formerly of Weston House, esquire, both deceased and which Sarah was only child and heir at law of Nicholas Godschall, heretofore of London, merchant, who was surviving devisee in trust in last will and testament of Sir Samuel Ongley formerly of London, knight, deceased ii) Lord Ongley, eldest son of Robert Henley, Lord Ongley, deceased formerly called Robert Henley who was 3rd son of Robert Henley heretofore of parish of St.Clement’s Danes, Middlesex, gentleman and of wife Anne, both deceased which said Robert, late Lord Ongley, was devisee for life named in said will of Sir Samuel Ongley iii) Mordaunt Lawson Clennell, Staples Inn, London, gentleman whereas: said Sir Samuel Ongley by will of 10 June 1725 devised to nephew Samuel Ongley, his dwelling house in Mincing Lane, London, and his house in Old Warden, for life. Also yearly annuity of £500. Subject to this, all his manors were devised to nephew said Nicholas Godschall and his nephew said Robert Henley, then of St.Clement Danes, upon trust to pay his debts and legacies. Details as in SL 1/1 : Will proved (P.C.C) – [date not given] : Sir Samuel Ongley died shortly after making will : all debts and legacies have long since been paid : nephew Samuel Ongley, John, Henley and Samuel Henley, sons of Robert and Anne Henley, all died many years ago without issue and so said Robert Henley became seized of the hereditaments etc. for his life and in compliance with said will took name of Ongley and was afterwards created Baron Ongley of Old Warden, in the peerage of Ireland and died several years ago leaving ii) his eldest son who became seized of hereditaments in tail male and in order to destroy all estates tail and to vest fee simple in ii), by lease and release of 8 and 9 Dec 1792 [Nov?] (see SL 1/2 and 3) hereditaments were devised to iii) to intent that he might become tenant of immediate freehold so that 3 common recoveries might be suffered by ii). These recoveries suffered in Court of Common Pleas at Westminster, Michaelmas term 33 George III (see SL 1/4 and 5) : ii) has now requested i) to convey lands and legal estate to him i) conveys to iii) - all lands devised by said will of Sir Samuel Ongley and are now vested in i) to iii), to use of iii) for ever but as to estate and interest of iii) therein in trust for sole benefit of ii) endorsed witnesses Charles Carthy Edward Bray Memorandum of 12 June 1830 that all the estates of Lord Ongley in Old Warden and Southill are by indenture of 30 Aug 1824 charged with yearly rent of £1200 to Frances, Lady Ongley, in lieu of dower
