- Scope and ContentSir, With reference to our recent discussion. We have passed on the Steamship Company your requirements in the dining saloon and have also advised them the numbers of the shore excursions in which you wish to participate, stressing to them that you have shown particular interest in excursions 14 and 37. We have asked them if it will be possible for you to participate in excursion 3 at Casablanca and on receipt of their advice we will write again. With regard to transferring your baggage to and from the ship. At Casablanca your baggage will be transferred by the Shipping Authorities from the 'OLYMPIA' to the 'ARKADIA', and as the 'ARKADIA' will be calling at Lisbon on the same day as the 'OLYMPIA', i.e. 16th March we are asking if it will be possible for your heavy baggage to be transferred and to be sent on to Southampton. When you called you mentioned that you would like to stay on board the 'OLYMPIA' for the overnight stay in Lisbon. We have now checked with the Steamship Company and find that the 'OLYMPIA' will be staying in Lisbon for approximately 7 hours on the 16th March only. Finally, kindly return the steamship deposit receipt for the 'ARKADIA' and the 'OLYMPIA' sent to you with our letter dated 30th October as these are required by the Steamship Company for accountancy purposes. Please confirm that Lady Janes and yourself both hold valid international certificates of vaccination for smallpox issued within the last three years. The undersigned will be absent from the office until early January but will write to you as soon as possible after 1st January to ensure that everything is in order for the journey. Yours faithfully, THOS. COOK & SON LTD. per: B ALLEN OVERSEAS BOOKING HALL P.S. Kindly confirm that you have made your own arrangements for hotel accommodation in Maderia.
