Reciting:
- R6/3/9/1;
- agreement for sale of 22 July 1887 by (i) to James Ward Maxwell of Bedford, draper, for £252/4/9, which was paid [see R6/3/9/4];
- no conveyance to James Ward Maxwell had been made;
- James Ward Maxwell obtained a loan of £200 from (iii), handing him a promissory note of 10 November 1887 and the agreement of 22 July 1887 as security;
- James Ward Maxwell executed a deed of assignment on 18 July 1893 of all his real and personal estate for the benefit of his creditors and appointing (ii) as trustee;
- £200 with interest of £6 was still owing to (iii)

- (iii) purchased (a) for £150, part of the sum of £206 owing to him by James Ward Maxwell;
