Scope and Content
Has received letter from the bishop, the inhibition cannot be removed, and therefore Tattam's churchwardens visitation must be postponed until the bishop's is completed. Has seen Mr Burden, who suggested corresponding with Evans to see if he will declare the churchwardens into office at the bishop's visitation. Suspects Evans is 'young in office', as he has never heard of the bishops visitation being before the archdeacon's churchwardens visitation. Also refers to a case relating to registrars fees in the county court, which terminated against the chruchwardens. Is sorry Sykes is leaving the acrhdeaconry.
