    - Cottage or tenement with orchard in Carlton now in the tenure or occupation of John Curtis and all such other lands etc which testator may dispose of to trusty friends John Rogers of Carlton, yeoman and John Mardling of Carlton, wheelwright upon trust to sell for the best price. Any monies arising from the sale and from rents and profits of real estate until the sale to be used by trustees to pay debts and funeral expenses. Residue after reimbursed of all necessary charges to two grandchildren William Steffe and Mary Steffe at their respetive ages of 21 in equal shares and parts. If either die then whole to survivor. - To Granddaughter Mary Steffe 'my sivler tankard which was formerly my Father-in-Law Mr Robert Boddington's' - To Grandson William Steffe, other silver tankard. Rest of plate to two grandchildren equally divided. Residue of household goods to be sold for payment of debts. John Rogers and John Mardling executors and two guineas a piece as a small recompence for their trouble. With probate granted to Sarah Steff, the natural and lawful daughter of the testator, the surviving executor John Mardling having renounced his right of executorship. Personal estate of testator did not amount to £100. With bond and oath of Sarah Steff and renunciation of John Mardling.
