  • Scope and Content
Dear Sir, Further to our recent conversation by telephone with Lady Janes. We have pleasure to advise that it has been possible to transfer you from the "ARKADIA" sailing on the 31st December for Madeira to the sailing on th 12th January to Maderia. The cabin reserved for you is U.29 with private shower and toilet and a plan of the "ARKADIA" is enclosed showing the location of this accommodation. We note that on the termination of the Cruise in the "OLYMPIA" at Lisbon you wish to fly home to London four days later. We have therefore reserved two seats for you on all tourist-class flight BEA.153 leaving Lisbon at 15.40 hours on the 20th March arriving London 19.30 hours, in the evening. As this is an all tourist-class flight the baggage allowance is 20 kilograms per passenger (or 44lbs.) but if you feel that you will have more baggage than this and if you are prepared to travel from Lisbon one day later there is a first-class departure operated by Panair do Brasil on which it would be possible for you to benefit from the first-class baggage allowance of 30 kilograms per person (or 66lbs.). The tourist-class fare from Lisbon to London is £33.13.0 and the first-class fare is £4.16.0. Will you kindly let us have your instructions. Yours faithfully, Thos.
