Scope and Content
To sister Mary Harvey, mansion house and lands etc. in Hinxworth; also farm at Caldecot, in the occupation of Edward Tingey, farm at Wrestlingworth in the occupation of Widow Lake, also undivided fourth part of 2 shares in the new river water brought from Chadwell and Amwell, Hertfordshire and Middlesex to London and Westminster, also all copyhold lands in Ashwell for life; then to brother James, (except that if brother John Harvey leaves any property to James, then this to nephew John, and in like case to nephew Edmund); to brother James, £100 and nephew Edmund £500; poor of Hinxworth, £10; brother Edwards £100; sister Wardner, £20; servant Thomas Baker, £10, and all clothes; rest of servants £5. Remainder to sister Mary, executrix; to be buried at Hinxworth with wife. Witnesses: not local. 2 codicils.
