  • Scope and Content
Dear Ernest, my wife and I are taking a sea voyage to Australia and New Zealand leaving on the "Iberia" on the 24th September. We return from Sydney on the 19th February arriving home at the end of March. The Doctor approves of this and thinks it will do me good. We are having about three weeks in Australia on the outward journey and another 3 weeks on our return. Our main time will be spent in New Zealand where we have a 9 weeks tour arranged. Knowing your connections in high circles I wondered whether you could give me an introduction in New Zealand. I already have an introduction to the High Commissioner at Canberra. I have friends in Auckland, Hastings and Tauranga in New Zealand but I have found previously when travelling abroad that good introductions are very helpful. I am glad to tell you that I am continuing to make progress and paid my first visit to the Baptist Church House this week. With best wishes and kind regards. Yours sincerely, [H.C.Janes]
