Letter; John Perring Field to George Foster (draft, on back of printed letter re John Perring Field's tobacco, snuff and cigar manufactory) from 14 Upper East Smithfield. Has received rents from Heath and Heldrith but they are behind. Bailey had said they were good tenants and would pay weekly. Not worth doing anything about bad state of cottages – would cost too much. Suggests either one of them buys the other's shares, then have the cottages pulled down and rebuilt. May he have your views on the matter. Has not heard from Mr Grant referred to in Bailey's letter.
