    The meeting was held 'to offer to Mr Field an expression of sympathy, and to organise a subscription towards reimbursing him the heavy expenses he has incurred in defending himself against a most malicious prosecution in two trials' Mr Field [presumably Octavius] had been accused of acting improperly towards a female patient, named Wight. The charge was dismissed but he had incurred expenses of £800 in his defence With list of gentlemen who formed the Committee to organise the subscription
