    reciting Settlement of 24 January 1823 and the case Coffin v Cooper which was instituted for the purpose of establishing the will of Thomas Cooper, the father of ii) sum involved is now £9,207 11s 8d Bank 3% annuities i) has recently requested iii) to supply him with goods on credit ii) has agreed to make an appointment in her will in his favour i) has insured his life for £500 with the Commercial Life Assurance Company, if he dies in the lifetime of his mother now ii) covenants with i) and iii) that she will appoint to i) in her will, out of trust premises, the sum of £550 i) assigns his share in said trust funds to iii) and also the policy of assurance copy signatures of i) and ii) 16 November 1857 In Chancery – indenture A certified true copy 2 May 1859 also attached Further assignment i) John Perring Field ii) Sarah Comfort iii) Thomas William Clagett, Horatio Clagett, junior, Peter Brachi £1751 11d is owed by i) to ii) which he is unable to repay, he has agreed to enter into further covenants and security for said sum, and interest as an inducement to i) and ii) to make such further security, iii) have agreed to forego their power of sale, granted in assignment of 16 November 1857 except in so far as such power of sale is applicable to the policy of assurance. i) shall not be under any obligation to keep up such policy, but to repay the sums of money due after the death of his mother NOW ii) covenants with i) and iii) that she will by her will appoint to i) - £1000 (plus the sum of £550 which she has already covenanted to appoint to him) i) agrees that iii) may, if desired, keep on foot the before-mentioned policy of assurance i) agrees to give iii) ten days notice in writing before he leaves the Kingdom and goes abroad signatures (copy) all 23 April 1859 In Chancery – indenture B Certified true copy 2 May 1859
